Rather expensive, the Athena Seven Minute Miracle anti-wrinkle cream miracle clocks in at almost a hundred dollars. I sincerely felt that if this stuff costs so much it had to do what it said.
Taking a cue from the Deception and Hydroderm debacles, I made it a point to do a bit of internet research prior to purchasing the anti-wrinkle face cream. I discovered that Athena was a company in good standing, not only with the BBB but with customers as well. I felt less unsure about plopping my money down.
I tried what many said was the best anti wrinkle cream on the market and what can I say—-it worked.
When I put the Athena Seven Minute Miracle on my under eyes wrinkles and laugh lines it did tighten them and in exactly seven minutes.
There was, however, a problem — the Athena wrinkle cream left a white residue that was hard to manipulate. Now, the accompanying DVD says that if you apply Athena correctly that won't happen.
However, I noted that if I tried to put too little of Athena Seven Minute Miracle on, it simply didn't work as well.
They also claim you can wear it under or over make up, but makeup tends to clump in the area where Athena is applied. If one is going to use Athena, they have to so it sparingly and with no makeup—-something a lot of women will be at loath to do.
So while Athena Seven Minute Miracle did do what it said, it is far too messy and hard to apply. Besides, I want something effortless that provides a long-term cure, not a quick fix…

Blah! Deception Anti Wrinkle Cream Deceives
Today, I am a bit bummed out! I received my order of Deception anti-wrinkle cream, but unfortunately, I read some pretty bad reviews of the stuff prior to its arrival. I truly wished I had found this information out prior to ordering. Most people felt it didn't work for them and from what I understand, the better business bureau shows them to be in bad standing due to a large amount of unresolved complaints.
Well … that's just lovely.
I tried Deception anti-wrinkle cream anyway and I have to say, I understand why people are upset.
For one, the jar of Deception anti-wrinkle cream is small--really small--for forty bucks I expected something, well, a bit bigger. I only got 0.75 Ounces—what a jip!
Supposedly, the way the Deception anti wrinkle cream is supposed to work is via "Billions of light-refracting nano-prisms." These prisms are purported to deflect light, causing under eye wrinkles, facial wrinkles or crows feet to lessen to the naked eye--deceiving the eye so to speak.
I will say the Deception anti-wrinkle cream deceives all right--deceives people out of money.
The Deception cream smelled okay and went on smoothly, but I couldn't really see a significant change in my under eyes wrinkles or laugh lines. Very, very disappointing and hardly the best anti wrinkle cream on the market.

Wrinkle cream reviews – A group project
Okay, so today I got a call from my Reunion Pal Becky and I am so glad I did--she just saved me a 100 bucks! You see, I almost went for the Hydroderm anti-wrinkle cream free trial figuring, well, it can't hurt. If they are willing to let me try their anti-wrinkle cream for free, it must work, right?
Well, thing is, it isn't a real free trial. Hydroderm only lets you get the free wrinkle cream offer if you sign up for some kind of membership plan. With the plan, they "offer" to automatically bill your credit card every month. The poor saps who don't read the fine print and order this wrinkle cream will be stuck with a nasty $90 dollar surprise in their bank account on a monthly basis.
Opting out is supposedly murder too, as they will continue to bill you for a couple of months, even after cancellation of the anti-wrinkle cream orders. My friend Becky almost found out the hard way but escaped the fate by being warned by an acquaintance who wasn't so lucky.
So, I decide not to risk the headache and to moved on to the next anti-wrinkle cream on my list, namely Deception.
Said to be one of the best wrinkle creams out there, it seems like an okay investment since it only costs around forty bucks. We'll soon see what Deception can do…

Best Wrinkle Cream: The Hunt Goes on
So, today, I am on the lookout for the best wrinkle cream on the market and wonder how many frogs I will have to kiss before I find a Prince. I am hoping to get a bit lucky and land something fairly quickly, but I realize the law of averages are against me.
Even so, a woman can dare to dream!
I begin by looking up some of the bigger names in wrinkle creams like Dermitage, Hydroderm and Deception. I know about them because I see their advertisements everywhere. It made me a bit curious as to their effectiveness. I have my doubts though, since the pictures in the ads always look retouched to me, which says a lot about the company.
Deception Wrinkle Cream seemed the most cost effective with Hydroderm topping out at almost ninety dollars and Dermitage not far behind.

Anti-Wrinkle Cream Versus Botox / Restalyne Injections
You know, I toyed for some time with two options: purchasing an anti-wrinkle cream or going in for cosmetic injections like Botox or Restalyne.
As I don't like needles, I was leaning towards the anti-wrinkle cream solution, however, Botox injections are reported to give an instantaneous result and are supposedly pain free, so I did a little research.
What I uncovered about Botox / Restalyneinjections made me want to run screaming towards anti wrinkle creams!
A few of the more daunting aspects were:
* The Cost -- Botox, Restalyne and other such injections could range from $500 to $1,500 dollars a syringe. At those prices, they'd better make me look sixteen again for ten years!
* Pain free my behind! -- I actually stumbled upon pictures of a woman who had received Restalyne injections in her lips and under her eyes and she looked as if she had gotten punched in the face by world championship boxer! Also, from what she said, the injection site remained sore for days needing ice to be soothed.
This definitely made the facial wrinkle creams look more inviting.
* Scary Facts -- Injections like Botox could cause nerve damage in some patients and Restalyne could leave little bumps underneath the skin that could not be removed with surgery.
Pictures of botched results was enough to make me stick with the pursuit of anti-wrinkle creams exclusively.
So, this weeks research will involve a compiling a list of the best wrinkle creams and trying them out. Check back regularly to see what I have uncovered!

Reunion and wrinkles
There's just something about High School reunions that can bring on blissful nostalgia coupled with pre-Reunion apprehension. This is how I was feeling as my 25th Reunion approached.
Y'know, I was really looking forward to seeing how some of my old girl friends were getting on—however a couple of week before the event, I became more painfully aware of my under eye wrinkles and crows feet!
Granted, I am a 42 year old woman, but this doesn't take away from the fact that I want to look absolutely flawless at all times— who doesn't.
Well , surprise, surprise, I met up with my old high school chums and they were in the same boat as me. As soon as we caught up on old times, we found ourselves talking about our beauty regimens, and more importantly, how to get rid of wrinkles with wrinkle creams.
Sharon, whom I always considered to be the smartest one among us, came up with the idea of all of us girls trying out various wrinkle treatments and reporting back to one another.
As I have been toying with looking at an anti-wrinkle cream or two, the idea appealed to me.
This is one of the many reasons why I decided to start this blog. I wanted to not only share my experiences about my hunt for superior anti- wrinkle products with friends, but also with any woman who is the same boat as us four.
In the weeks to come, I will try to be honest about my findings and hope you'll check back to read my wrinkle cream reviews, to see who the biggest winners, and losers, among them are!
